SGT Barstow and Cody

I have wanted to shoot a military session for quite some time now so whenever I got the chance to do this shoot I was ecstatic.... Then I found out I got to also meet another type of service men Cody (the dog). Let me start by giving you a little info about SGT Barstow and Cody. SGT Barstow and Cody have been together for two years this August. In these two years they spent one year in Afghanistan. SGT Barstow is a Combat Engineer; right now his title is an (SSD) Specialized Search Dog Handler. First off I want to say how thankful I am to have people like SGT Barstow that serve our country and do a lot of things me and you would never even think about doing, and Cody of course. When I first arrived at the kennel I was amazed at the amount of dogs they have there. I could have spent all day in there just petting them all! Then I was told that just like SGT Barstow and Cody each dog has its own handler... so cool! The way Cody listened to and respected SGT Barstow was amazing. SGT Barstow told Cody what to do and he immediately did it and if he didn't the tone in SGT Barstow voice changed his mind pretty quickly. When I first thought about this I was thinking "oh man I bet these dogs are so serious and don't play around" WRONG!!!! Cody LOVED playing with SGT Barstow, as you can see his eyes locked on his toy in one of the below images. Like I said I feel so lucky to have been able to finally do a military shoot. I hope there is many more in my future, for now I am just going to gawk at these images because I absolutely love them. You’re more than welcome to gawk away as well! I also got the pleasure of doing a family shoot for SGT Barstow and his beautiful family (to be blogged soon).

Don't forget to thank those serving our country like SGT Barstow and Cody!!

High School love

Allie is one of my first Senior reps so I found it pretty cool that I got to do a session of her and her boyfriend Dalton. We met at 8am and holy moley was it cold out we couldn’t feel our fingers (dang you Missouri weather). I asked Dalton if he was doing this willingly and he said "It depends on which way you look at it". The best answer I have got from a boyfriend or husband to date.... but I am taking this as NO lol. As corny as it sounds I love having young couples in front of my camera. Your first love is a feeling you will never ever experience again in your life and to be able to capture someone at that point in their life is magical. Hope you enjoy their sneak peeks! LOVE WITH ALL YOUR HEART EVERYDAY

FUN FAMILY

When Kayla called and booked a session for her and her 2 boys I had no idea what I was in for. These boys were so much fun. Ethan the oldest of the two was very laid back and rocked his "Victoria's Secrets" pose for multiple times. Then there is Alex who was very silly, I quickly realized I had a 2 shot max before he started getting silly on me. Needless to say amongst the silliness these boys were very well behaved and knew how to work the camera.
